ABOUT US

Moving Light Productions (MLP) is one of the leading production companies in Victoria. Originally MLP provided lighting designs to various local amateur theatre companies throughout Melbourne, then 2001 we decided to expand MLP's core business in the area of Lighting Design, Technical Management and Stage Management. The following year, MLP secured the contract with Knox City Council in providing Stage Management and Event Management staff for their highly successful Carols by Candlelight and Knox City Festival, forming a 7 year relationship with Knox City Council and has continued working with other council municipalities around the region.

In 2004 Moving Light Productions decided to expand its staff and bring on experienced and knowledgeable people that would be able to provide to the client state of the art technology and support particularly in the area of Video Projection linked with Moving Lights. Since its expansion Moving Light Productions have been Lighting Designer and Technical Director on many theatrical productions throughout Victoria and Interstate. MLP has had clients such as City of Melbourne, City of Greater Dandenong, Victorian State Government, Tasmanian Theatre Company, Mollison Entertainment, Glynn Nicolas Group and Melbourne Moomba Waterfest.

Today MLP has become one of the largest production companies in Melbourne and most recently the team from MLP was appointed by Luna Park to create the lighting design for the yearly LUNADARK 2018 and 2019. Moving Light Productions over the last 4 years has been touring international productions from London and America throughout Australia ranging from Children's theatre through to London's Westend and Broadway theatrical productions. The team at MLP have provided lighting designs, production and technical management for many of the productions. For the past year 3 years Moving Light Productions have been designing the lighting for Mentone Grammar and was the lighting consultant company on their $30 million theatre. In January this year MLP have completed a full lighting bar and dimmer up grade on Kilvington Grammar Schools theatre making it state of the art lighting rig.
